When an onsite repair call is not cost effective Remote Help may be the answer. This service allows a technician in our office to access your computer and complete the repair over the internet. Simply make an appointment, download the Remote Help client, and we will complete the repair.
The convenience of Remote Help is its best feature. Simply connect to our office and leave the rest to us. No need to wait for the technician to finish work before you leave your home or office.

Some examples of instances where Remote Help is indispensable include:

Configuring and testing email
Software training and help
Software installation
Computer optimization for speed
Virus Removal (some cases only)
General Maintenance

How to Get Started?
1. Schedule an appointment. In general, appointments may be made for same day service at no extra charge. This step must be completed prior to downloading the Remote Help client in order to ensure that a technician will be available to work on your computer.
2. Click here to download the Remote Help Client.
3. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you will see the screen below after you click on the download link. Click Run.

4. If you are using a different browser, save the program, double click on it, and you should arrive at the following screen. If you have a firewall on your computer, it may ask for permission to allow remhelp.exe to access the internet. Be sure to allow access, or the connection will not be established.

5. Select Start and the program will initiate a connection to our office.

6.
At the end of the session we will terminate the connection. If you wish to stop the connection at any time, simply click on stop.

Upon successfully connecting to our office, you may leave your computer unattended for the duration of the repair, or you may observe the progress as it occurs. Your assistance is only required to initiate the connection.

If you don't have a stable connection to the internet, Remote Help will not work. Please schedule an onsite appointment if this is the case.

How does it work?

Remote Help is designed so that you are initiating the connection, and no program is installed on your computer. For security purposes, it is not a good idea to use a program that would allow us to connect without your input.

Once you download remhelp.exe, the program runs and requests your permission to establish the connection. Once this is done, we can control your computer, but only as long as you allow. Once the session is completed, you may delete remhelp.exe. Your personal firewall software will confirm that no connection exists between remhelp.exe and the internet unless you start the program and allow it.

We are dedicated to providing a secure service, and have extensively tested our system to ensure that it is safe.
